The Ipsy New York City Popup at 188 Lafayette Street is a “must visit” if you are a beauty addict! Your get handed Ipsy play money that you use on five products of your choice from the shelves! The brands are amazing and include Benefit, Laura Geller, First Aid Beauty, Banu Skin, Rodial and Commodity fragrances. The popup is on Friday 4/24/26 and Saturday 4/25/26 from 12-4. Just get in line (no tickets or reservations necessary)! As I go to press, I hear that there is a bit of a wait so try to get there at least an hour early! There has been a lot of bills posted around town (see photo below) and immense social media promotion so the excitement is over the top!
I took some photos at yesterday’s preview and I have placed them below. You go up to a counter right inside the door where you are given your Ipsy play money which some of the people working at the pop up called “coupons” and each one counts towards a product. You will get to choose from 20 to 30 brands and most of the products and brand new to the lines! Even if you have to wait an hour or two, this event is well worth it. At the end when you go to the “cashier” to give in your coupons, you will be given a special discount offer to join IPSY, which is super nice!
When you check in at the front counter, you will be offered your aforementioned coupons, a shopping basket and a Poppi soft drink. The Shirley Temple flavor seems to be especially popular. I can’t think of anything more fun than sipping and shopping!
This is only about 25 per cent of the products that you get to choose from at the event. You will be impressed at the prestige brands being offered to guests! One of the real beauty rock stars on the shelves is Benefit’s Bad Gal Bang! Volumizing Mascara.
I am Tatcha’s top fan so when I saw that this moisturizer was available to take, I grabbed it. I just put this item in my cleansing routine rotation!
The cashiers are super friendly and their pink cash registers were just adorable. You get your items placed in a cool pink and black IPSY logo bag after paying for them with your coupons.
