Beauty Addicts Take Note: The Makeup Show NYC Is Back May 3 & 4!

The Makeup Show NYC is taking place this coming Sunday and Monday, May 3–4, 2026, at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City. It’s one of the country’s largest professional beauty events, drawing makeup artists, hairstylists, brands, and enthusiasts for a two-day experience that combines education, shopping, and networking. It’s designed to give attendees both creative inspiration and practical industry insight.

At the heart of the show is a large beauty marketplace featuring dozens of brands across makeup, skincare, and hair. Many of these brands offer professional-level discounts, making it a major draw for attendees looking to stock up or discover new products. So many brands you love have booths including Kryolan, Makeup Forever, Nudestix, Danessa Myricks, and Cinema Secrets. I have found that some brands are as much as 75 per cent off!

Alongside the shopping floor, there are multiple stages hosting live demonstrations, panel discussions, and artist presentations, covering everything from technique and trends to business advice. There are also career-focused opportunities, including portfolio reviews and sessions designed to help artists grow their freelance business or connect with industry professionals. Altogether, it’s a mix of trade show, conference, and creative meetup tailored especially to those serious about beauty. Master makeup artists Danessa Myricks and Joseph Vincent are always on hand to teach classes and mingle with on the show floor.

One of the special events that will have a great gift bag is the Beauty Cocktail event, which is on Saturday at 4:30 PM and is a steal at $75. There are also “Artists United” masterclasses and other add-on workshops that take place during or around show hours, offering more in-depth, hands-on learning for an extra fee.

Overall, the structure of the weekend is pretty flexible: you can spend your morning attending big-name demos, your afternoon shopping from dozens of pro beauty brands, and then layer in optional workshops or networking events depending on your schedule. Because everything runs roughly from morning through late afternoon both days, you can realistically plan a full-day experience—or split it across the two days if you get a weekend pass. Hours are officially 9 AM to 5 PM both days of the show. For more info and to buy tickets (which are reduced to $54 per day as we go to press), visit the makeup show.com/nyc/.
