My top choice for “the great neighborhood steakhouse” award is undoubtedly the UES’ T-Bar. More specifically, I love it for “a meat and three sides”! They have a beautiful 8-ounce grilled Filet Mignon that they grill to perfection and world-class sides. They have a divine 40 ounce Porterhouse for two as well that I plan on getting next time I go. T-Bar possibly has the best Mac ‘N Cheese in town (no withholding of the heavy cream here), beautiful buttery Haricot Verts, and Fresh Corn just cut off the cob in the kitchen. I probably could move into T-Bar and never leave but they might not want that, LOL! Their best-kept secret is their highly unique salads–try the signature T-Bar Chopped Salad (hearts of palm, green beans, tomato and cucumber in Sherry Viniagrette)–and the huge Banana Parfait (available in two sizes) rules for dessert!

All the fare is Modern American/American fusion and the atmosphere is that of a light, airy and modern loft even though is it ground level. People walking by T-Bar love to peep in at the windows for both the great people-watching and the food. I love how friendly the service is here almost as much as I love the portion sizes of the steaks and the desserts, LOL! For more info, go to:
