The Magic Table: Combining Magic, Creative Eats and Elegant Surroundings For An Evening You Won’t Forget!

The Magic Table is a limited-run immersive dining experience in The Pierre Hotel’s elegant Wedgwood Room. It combines fine cuisine with visual illusions and interactive storytelling. It’s designed to be more than a dinner — it’s a theatrical journey where the table itself becomes part of the show.

Instead of conventional service, the Magic Table experience uses 3D visual effects and narrative elements projected directly into the dining space, turning each course into a “chapter” of the evening’s story. You might witness scenes, surprises, and magical illusions that unfold alongside your food, with light, sound, and digital imagery woven into the presentation.

I was lucky enough to go on a special media and VIP night with America’s Got Talent finalists The Clairvoyants (stylish Austrian couple Thommy Ten and Amélie van Tass) providing complementary live magic that included my all time favorite mode of magic, levitation. You can Tommy levitating a wooden table with the help of a dinner guest above. I was about 20 feet away and saw no signs of strings or anything that would explain how the table rose and stayed up in the air for several minutes.

I think that my favorite moment besides the table levitation was when audience members held up objects and the blindfolded Amélie was able to name them! (She even was able to name the last four numbers and CVV codes on credit cards!) My friend held up her asthma inhaler and Amelie announced to the crowd not only what it was but gave the inhaler’s expiration date (which blew our minds)! My photo above was taken right before Amelie put her blindfold on and I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was sequined and matched her glamorous gown!

The Magic Table experience was introduced in December 2025 and scheduled select nights (traditionally Thursday through Saturday) with set seating times.  Because it’s limited-engagement and highly curated, reservations are recommended and seats can sell out fast. Above is one of the cool table projections which features a set of 13 characters that magically becomes 14 with a little intense audience participation.

The official name of the five course dinner served as the centerpiece of The Magic Table is The Grand Illusion Menu and you can see all that is featured below. Each course unfolds as part of the immersive storytelling experience, with projected visuals and interactive elements designed to align with the theme of that stage of the dinner. I got a big kick out of the fact that in order to get the spoon you needed for the futuristic looking Chocolate Dome dessert, you had to open a miniaturized version of the chest that Harry Houdini escaped from in a lot of his shows!

The Grand Illusion Menu (5 Courses)

Beef Tartare Royal
Beef Tartare | Hazelnut | Black Truffle

Mystic Tuna
Seared Tuna | Piquillo Pepper | Yuzu

Houdini’s Escape
Caramelized Onion Agnolotti | Oscietra Caviar | Parmesan Cream

The Magicians’ Circle
Beef Tenderloin | Lobster Hash | Perigord Sauce

The Final Illusion
Chocolate Dome | Coconut Mousse | Raspberry Sauce

Just for the record, you get the five courses mentioned (adjusted to your individual dietary needs and food preferences if you speak up to the waitstaff) and the show for $195 per person (there is no à la carte ordering and drinks are additional). Pictured above is the amazing Filet Mignon with Lobster Hash! For more info or to book The Magic Table, go to themagictable.com.
