Veggies Made Great: So Good That You Won’t Believe That They’re Actually Good For You!

I recently went to a “morning of health and wellness” event celebrating the well-reviewed Veggies Made Great at the Food52 Penthouse in the Brooklyn Navy Yard—and it was a lot of fun!

The event started with a private breathwork and light stretching class led by Chloe Kernaghan, followed by a healthy rooftop brunch from Veggies Made Great on the penthouse level of the building, overlooking the Manhattan skyline. Then there was a panel including reality star and model Kelly Bensimmon that focused on the importance of nutrition, family health practices starting in the kitchen, scaling a business, etc.

Being a foodie and food blogger, I was all about the Veggies Made Great items being served—their frittatas, potato bakes, brownies and muffins are exceptional. All of these items can be microwaved in 30 or 40 seconds and taste very fresh. Kids love them as much as adults and that is a good thing since it is generally hard to get youngsters to eat their vegetables.

I have been a diehard Veggies Made Great fan for about six years now but just tried the Cinnamon Roll Muffins for the first time today and was blown away. They taste like a cross between a cinnamon roll and a gingerbread cookie to me, and that’s an amazing taste sensation! Pictured above is one of the double chocolate muffins that I consumed and they are mouthwatering as well! It’s hard to believe that they are made with zucchini and carrots!

It was great to hear Kelly Bensimmon get interviewed by Veggies Made Great CEO Elliot Huss. The gorgeous former Housewives Of New York cast member admitted that she had been a longtime VMG fan long before she became a spokesperson for the company. Huss talked about the evolution of Veggies Made Great (which were originally called Garden Lites) and what the company’s current goals are in terms of both new recipes and consumer preferences.

The photo above is of CEO Huss, Kelly Bensimmon and Food52 CEO Erika Ayer’s Badan who also participated in the aforementioned panel. Many guests came up to schmooze and take photos with this trio in front of the large green step and repeat.

Guests left the event with Veggies Made Great logo yoga mats, a gift card for a month’s worth of Veggies Made Great items, mugs and a huge logo freezer bag. I can’t wait to try the four or five items made by Veggies Made Great that I have not gotten to yet! There is a birthday cake muffin that I am now obsessed with after seeing film footage of it behind the panel part of the event!
