I attend very few NYFW shows, but The Bomb Fashion Show curated by the editors of Fashion Bomb Daily, is always full of surprises including a cocktail party with plenty of unique photo ops like a red carpet with metallic high end balloons. There are multiple designers who are on the cutting edge and there is always a celebrity host. It’s a long show with lots of models who do a lot of changes–it usually goes two or three hours without the pre-party!
Here’s the official step and repeat! I loved the giant silver ballooons and the giant logo on the carpet! Guests put their one-of-a-kind ensembles for The Bomb Fashion Show and lots of folks on the crowd are fashion designers who find this event a great place to network.
The lighting at the cocktail party was very pink as you can tell from my photo of the bar. The sponsor of the bar was Belaire Champagne! I am particularly enamored of their blue champagne that has a slight tinge blueberry flavor and is such a gorgeous color.
One of the sponsors who had a big display at the cocktail party was Kaleidoscope Hair Products who donated full size bottles of their serum for the gift bags found on the seats of the show. (The bags also contained fabulous items from Danessa Myricks Beauty and The Boob Job breast tape.)
The food sponsor was The Waffle Chic who are famous for their pink food truck that you see around town. Their wonderful chicken and burger waffle sandwiches were served by gorgeous glamazons wearing mirrored bodysuits. The serving tray was clear acrylic and shaped like an inner tube!
Emcee Vivica A. Fox did a “bang up” job of giving the crowd of 300-plus all the background on each designer and interview each one out on the runway after their portions of the show was complete. She sported a custom black sequin gown by the designer who “showed” first–Beeombi. Every outfit in this designer’s artillery was black and sexy, most of it being sequined.
These are the two most “easy wear” items from Beeombi! She definitely loves leather as much as she loves sequins. I thought that these looks were pretty timeless!
Some of the most glamorous gowns with dramatic sleeves and necklines that I’ve ever seen were in the Envysaje Atelier portion of the show. This is a designer who really brings a fairytale look to gala wear, and there were even some gorgeous and unusual wedding gowns in the collection.
Designer Laha featured a lot of kids looks but the gents really got to model the unique looks. Laha is heavily into animal and camouflage prints and has a lot of coordinated pieces so you do not have to think very much about what goes with what! Everything shown was colorful and comfortable looking!
Designer Furry Godmother brought out both outrageous and classic fur looks! There were even jeans with flat multi color fur panels. My preference was for the more low key basic chinchilla boxy jacket shown.
Leave it to the Fashion Bomb folks to come up with an adorable swing surrounded by flowers to pose on! Everyone hopped onto this thing on the way out! The Fashion Bomb Show is always special and full of people not only dressed to the nines but dressed to the tens (if that is possible). The show off the runway is just as fashion forward as it is on the runway! You immediately can tell how much the crowd loves fashion!
