IPSY LIVE: The Ultimate Glamour Diva Fest!

I love the monthly IPSY boxes–they let subscribers be able to sample 5 products per month for only $12! That price can’t be beat for many of these products are from high end brands like Oribe, Ciate and Morphe! As a result, I could not wait to come to their annual IPSY Live event at Center415 at 415 Fifth Avenue. It was my first time and I was totally wowed. There were Q&A sessions with various beauty brand entrepreneurs and influencers and the 60 or so beauty brand booths provided one to one opportunities between guests and brands. A lot of brands made their booths super fun. I had a blast at the Apto Skincare where there was a large inflatable carnival game where you tossed a ball in the top and it fell into a numbered lane where you won one of the prizes laying in it! People who did a social post got an extra prize! I love that this brand is all natural and I look forward to trying the moisturizer that I won!Wen By Chaz Dean provided a gorgeous area to lounge in with a gold leather push pin sofa and Chaz’ gorgeous labs to pose for a selfie with or just pet! But the piece de resistance was their fabulous stylists. These stylists took their time thoroughly blowing out guests’ hair and discussing the fragrant and effective Wen products being used. The gilded and jeweled mirrors used by the stylists were perhaps the most gorgeous that I have ever seen! I had a fantastic holding spray used on me called Bella Spirit which is named after one of Chaz’s jewel collared gorgeous Labs!There was even a fabulous IPSY booth where you could buy some of the items featured in the recent IPSY boxes for only $3 each. I spent about 20 minutes perusing everything discovering brands that I have never tried before. Let me add right here that IPSY lets you try new products every month after taking a quiz to discover your coloring and preferences. You sometimes end up with mega high end brands like YSL which are worth much more than what you are paying for the entire box. They also have a more upscale box that is all luxury items for $50 bucks a month and those are often worth $250!Needless to say, there were many great photo ops along the way with large bathtubs full of white plastic balls and giant cosmetics. I even saw a few people diving into the super large one in the lobby which was about twenty feet long and six feet deep! Undoubtedly, you have seen hundreds of social posts of guests posing in the giant faux tubs!The above photo is of Posh Cosmetics’ tub for guests to luxuriate in! I loved the pink and white balls in it but did not have the balls to jump in. There were some of the nicest brand reps at this booth and they were very generous, handing out deluxe travel size products to all visitors.Perhaps my favorite part of IPSY Live was the IPSY Box sample booth that greeted all guests as they entered the lobby at 415Center! Everyone got to take a cute zipper bag and stuff it with five products of their choosing. Included were luxury brands like Tarte and Oribe! I loved the huge variety–there were about fifteen types of items to choose from! I think that this was the ultimate way to greet all the beauty addict guests!My favorite new brand that I was introduced to was Grown Alchemist, an all natural skincare line with nice people who thoroughly explained all the ingredients and talked about why they help with skin tone and clarity. A couple of people walking by testified to the fact that these products actually work. The Grown Alchemist folks were incredibly generous with their sample products and I will personally be starting with their skincare line this week! By the way, they have a lovely reparative lip gloss that is all natural but tastes like a watermelon Jolly Rancher–I can’t wait to try that as well!IPSY Live is also about making new business connections and friendships. If you love beauty and want to make good friends and discover new products together, I can’t recommend this show more heartily. It’s the once a year capital of glam.
