Dermalogica has been around a long time but what makes them great in my opinion is that you can visit one of their salons, get a super-customized treatment just for your type and get products that are keyed in just for your skin type. You go back and the store’s wonderful staff checks to see how your skin is doing with the recommended products and then does a little tweaking depending on the season or if you need just a little more in terms of drying, aging or even acne. There is no skin that they do not work wonders for.
Products that I everyday and have for five years now are Essential Cleansing Solution, Skin Smoothing Cream, Active Moist and Overnight Clearing Gel. Together, these four products cover deep cleansing, moisturization, sun protection, anti-aging and frying out acne. I recently added in the Daily Superfoliant which came out a few months ago because I love the way the superfine microfoliation powder turns foamy when adding just a tiny bit of water and those fine grains of powder really feel like they are going deep and sweeping out your blackheads! I guarantee that the grains are finer than any other scrub or cleansing grain product you have tried before and the fineness is the key to getting into every pore on your face, and deeply!
Just released on March 16th, 2017, was Stress Positive Eye Lift, which features truly new and revolutionary ingredients for lifting and firming! Wild Indigo Seed brightens the dark skin you often see when you have tired eyes, Sea Water Extract and Arctic Algae combat puffiness, fermented yeast and a unique Hyaluronic Acid blend firm skin to the point where the whole eye area looks lifted, and Bioactive Diglucosyl Gallic Acid works with your skin’s own biome to brighten and energize skin around the eye area. Preliminary tests have shown that Stress Positive Eye Lift works pretty darn fast, too! It is $65 wherever Dermalogica products are sold.
Coming up very shortly from Dermalogica is their Overnight Retinol Repair 1%. While costly at $97, I hear that a pump bottle of this new anti-aging product will last at least two month when applied to the face twice a day. Like the Superfoliant, it fights off the pollution and free radical damage that creates brown spots, fine lines and uneven skin tone, all while detoxifying and providing your complexion with antioxidant protection. It contains pure Vitamin A which is legendary for reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I’m all for turning back the clock, and this is a product that can really help!
While I have your attention, let me bring up the fact that once you visit a Dermalogica location and type all your information into one of their computers, it will generate invitations to customers-only events in their stores which often include free mini-treatments and deluxe size product samples to take home.
