This morning, yours truly and about another 30 influencers got to kick off an exciting weekend with TikTok’s most-loved beauty brand, The Beachwaver Co.! This is a collab with Shopify and those people know how to throw a bash!
It was great to see owner Sarah Potempa after about eight years—when I attended an event that she had at the Dream Hotel’s West 55th Street location—and get the 411 on the new Beachwaver device in development. I was impressed that Sarah’s dad played acoustic guitar at the event and her mom and sister were in attendance! The super friendly hair biz mogul demonstrated some popular Beachwaver products on a model including the newly reformulated Braid Balm which now contains polymers—you fan be brushed it out, allowing you to move onto a new style using your Beachwaver without washing your hair! Sarah also demoed some of the cool Beachwaver charms (this model got a silver snake design put on her locks)!
The Beachwaver popup is at 131 Greene Street now through Sunday—hours are 12 to 5 PM each day! You can have your hair styled by a pro for only $20 and get big discounts on Beachwaver products! Be sure to try the above crane machine which has plastic bubbles filled with Beachwaver scrunchies in (ask one of the girls working the event for the special coin to put into the machine)! There are many great photo ops at the Beachwaver event including ones with fun beach themes (no surprise). You will want to return several times! Get on line early because it is truly an early Summer ‘25 hotspot!
