I am a huge Miraclesuit fan so I was so happy to attend the recent swimsuit preview by their parent company Swim USA over in the Garment District. Amazingly enough, Swim USA is family owned and has been in business since 1936.
It was great to see the Miraclesuits coming up for spring. This popular brand is always worth investing in because they really do provide a miracle of sorts: every body type gets converted into a “va-va-boom” curvy look! There is more support on top than any other swimsuit out so there’s no “fallout” when you’re swimming or rolling over to tan on your other side. One more thing: the sides of the Miraclesuits seem to go up high enough under the armpit to prevent the odd “spillage” that can often turn up there (especially if you are older). You stay intact for pretty much any sort of beach activity and the colors of the suits stay true despite sun and being hand washed after every use.
Swim USA will be introducing these dresses later in the year (release date still to be determined) and no doubt they will revolutionize the coverup business—that’s because they do double duty (maybe even triple)! If you buy one, you’re getting a coverup, summer dress and the level of compression that you would get from a Magicsuit (which is a bit lighter than the compression in a Miraclesuit). The best part is that you can go straight from the beach to dining out or even clubbing!
Swim USA designs and manufactures swimwear for Ralph Lauren as well, and for spring 2025 there are plenty of bright tropical prints (as you can see above). The preppy button down long RL logo solid coverups are a staple of the collection every year and can double as a shirt if you belt them.
For the bargain conscious, there is the S3 Swim brand that is sold exclusively in Kohl’s. One pieces are priced under $100 and you can see that the styles are comparable to ones in the Miraclesuit and Magicsuit collections. There are really some nice textures in the fabrics used and if prefer a suit with a high neck, there are several styles that you will love. I fell in love with the blue one pictured above because it actually has shirt buttons going up the middle. S3 also features an array of suits with dramatic shirring on the sides. Not shown here is a metallic gold floor length crocheted coverup that is simply dynamic and will be in stores this spring.
Above is my favorite from the Magicsuit line. It’s always a good idea to “bring the eye up” as they say. This is a sophisticated and timeless style available in other color ways as well! Magicsuit is not only know for tummy control but they make more high waisted bottoms than anyone!
The newest line from the Swim USA people is the Mimi Flamingo Collection and before you ask…yes, there are flamingo prints in the collection as well as solids. The one piece above has a matching button down coverup that is just too cute. Mimi Flamingo is perfect for those who enjoy garments with a retro flair. Ladies who like a classic black and white combo will find dozens of pieces they’ll love in the Mimi Flamingo collection.
