Oktoberfest At Watermark: Celebrating On The East River With The Best German Beers And Fare!

Wow, I just went to Watermark on South Street close to the South Street Seaport and was wowed by all the Oktoberfest fun that you can have right on the East River with views of a lifetime! There is not just world class German beer and fare, but games like Jenga, Connect Four and corn hole, and lots of lovely hosts in traditional German garb with a sexy edge.

Some of the beautiful hosts are even on stilts if you prefer particularly tall girls! This girl has a bit of a reach to pour a beer but I guess that she has the knack of it by now, LOL!

There is a fun band who plays classic oompah music as well as American standards and classic rock. They get the crowd up and moving!

I am always attending any event in NYC with the possible exception of New York Fashion Week! These two types of sausage (bratwurst and kielbasa) were off the chain but the fresh large pretzels are wait I savored slowly and enjoyed every soft and chewy mouthful. I was so tempted to have a second especially with the amazing German mustard served at Watermark.

The drinking stations are many! There is a bar with beer, wine and signature cocktails but it is the numerous tables where you can have both samples and full size glass steins of the imports that will blow you away. If you feel like you are strong, you can even enter a stein holding contest! While at the Oktoberfest social media preview, I fell in love with an American cider donut beer called Downeast Cider that gave out generous samples. If you like sweeter, lighter beers, you will fall in love with this one!

By the way, the corn hole game that most of the guys went nuts for is right up against the river and of course is shaped like a can of beer. There are actually a few of these that you can play!

I am a Connect Four fanatic so I was happy to find guests who would play it with me. Sadly, I lost two out of three rounds!
