I was lucky enough to do a press “shopalong” at the wonderful, user friendly Bath And Body Works store on the SW corner of 23rd Street and Park Avenue South. It was truly a “winter wonderland” experience and I was thrilled to pick out the top four or five items that work as everything from stocking stuffers to holiday dinner host gifts (and back again)!
My top pick for an “every occasion” and “both guy and gal” gift would be anything from the Wallflowers air fragrance line. Wallflowers can be a fantastic and budget-friendly choice for adding a festive touch to your home during the holidays as well as being a budget friendly choice for under $30 holiday gifts. Most of the Wallflowers retail from $17 to $27 and refills are $7.25 but there are plenty of promotions for these products going on both online and in the BBW stores right now. Last week I saw an assortment of refills for only $2.75 in several of the midtown stores. The seasonal Wallflowers scents refills are available in scents like Fresh Balsam, Vanilla Bean Noel, Sweater Weather and The Perfect Christmas; they can create a warm and inviting atmosphere anywhere that has an electrical outlet! There are also non-seasonal Wallflower units that are good for gifting if you want something that is more generic and works all year round with your decor.
There are great Wallflowers that you can insert into your car air vents that have non liquid discs that you can purchase at 3 for $12! My favorite is the wreath design. I won’t tell anyone if your leave the wreath in your air vents past the holiday season to get a balsam or other holiday scent all year long, LOL!
My top choice for a “bath set” type of gift would be anything from the Relaxing Midnight Sky assortment—this chamomile and patchouli scented line includes Moisturizing Body Lotion, Essential Oil Mist, Moisturizing Body Wash and many other products. Putting together three or four products make for a wonderful and soothing gift. The chamomile and patchouli base makes this a super calming product line perfect for bedtime. Relaxing Midnight Sky is one of the newest scents in the BBW body products line.
For a luxe lady gift, my top choice would be the full size Luminous EDP available in a metallic red box that makes it all ready to go under the tree! This scent is floral and fruity at the same time and super feminine. Best of all, the scent lingers for hours after just a quick spritz on the pulse points! As you can see from my photo above, there are less expensive Luminous choices including a spectacular gold and burgundy large candle that has more than 40 hours of burn time!
For the guys in your life, I love the Beard & Face Wash With Aloe and Vitamin B12 which is only $13.99 for four ounces. It’s rare that you can get a cleansing combo like this in one product and it leaves every bear soft and shining. I nominate this for anyone dating or married to a Grizzly Adams type who needs better beard and face care! There are also plenty of after shave balms and men’s EDPs available in the store as seen above.
For stocking stuffers, my top choices are any of the BBW lip masks, but particularly Christmas-y is the Twisted Peppermint Nourishing Lip Mask. This is priced at only $12.95 and the cute pink .73 ounce jar will last long after the holidays! There is a killer Twisted Peppermint Lip Scrub to go with this that is similarly priced.
