Last week, Kiehl’s held an online press event to officially launch their new Ferulic Brew Rejuvenating Facial Essence with Naturally Derived Lactic Acid, a unique treatment that is phyto-brewed for over 120 hours and enhanced with natural ferulic acid to help achieve glowing skin.
The event was was hosted by Kiehl’s Consulting Dermatologist, Dr. Michelle Henry, and Kiehl’s Global Scientific Director, Dr. Nancy Ilaya. This exciting launch included a special kombucha brewing workshop hosted by Brew Doctor (and that is what the pictured items below were used for). I might not be able to cook but I was able to at least blend the dried berries and ginger (that were sent over with the new product) into my kombucha, LOL! The blending bowl broke in transit even though it was well-packed in a really cute gift set—but I got out my trusty Gorilla Glue and just fixed it.
Kiehl’s apparently wants its press event participants to continue with both their usage of Ferulic Brew (we all started off with a bottle sent to us before the event) and Kombucha making. Influencers were mailed post event Kombucha kits by Cultures For Health where we make our own teas from Kombucha tea starter cultures. I kind of feel like a mad scientist working with it but I enjoyed mixing together the starter culture with organic cane sugar and distilled white vinegar in a jar and putting the supplied Muslin jar cover on (as I go to press, I am highly anticipating the final result).
I am happy to say that Kiehl’s Ferulic Brew flew off the shelves the first week of its release. It is simply applied right after cleansing—put a dime size of product in your hand, apply to finger and tap it onto your face five times. I do five different areas—nose, chin, forward, on my right eye side crinkles and then on my left eye side crinkles. You can feel this product working and will enjoy its earthy, natural scent. A 6.8 ounce bottle retails for about $52 but you are using so little that a bottle is going to last you more than six months using a dime sized drop twice per day!
For more info on Kiehl’s Ferulic Brew, go to www.Kiehls.com. I strongly recommend signing up for email notifications from this site because they have 25 to 40 per off discounts very regularly—plus lots of Kiehl’s samples get thrown in with each order. Be sure to check into their quaint 109 Third Avenue store in the East Village sometime, though—I feel that it is a New York landmark every tourist must visit whether they are into skin products or not! I guarantee you’ll fall in love with Ferulic Brew as it works for all skin types and helps give you a smooth glow whether you are battling acne or the effects of aging!
