I have gone to Super Saturday on the grounds of Noak’s Art Project in Water Mill three times now and it’s an event that never fails to thrill. QVC broadcasts live from the stage in front of a huge white party tent filled with some of their more famous brands selling at a huge discount. There are a few outside brands as well, many of which are favorite NYC boutique brands. As the dar progresses, the prices go down and in a lot of cases, items are only ten dollars each at the end of the day.
I personal checked out Halo (a popular phone charging device sold on QVC), Ramy Brook, Brooks Brothers, It! Cosmetics, Tarte Cosmetics, DKNY, Dooney & Bourke, Talbot’s and Alex Clancey Bags for about 15 minutes to a half hour each and enjoyed every second of it! I walked away with some Ramy Brook and Brooks Brothers items that are timeless, which I was super happy with and paid less than ten dollars for each item!
The event was star studde, and I rubbed elbows with Aida Turturro of Sopranos fame, Kelly Ripa and Alex Baldwin with his young daughter. The wonderful food was supplied by Sant Ambreous and was a total Italian feast with luscious French pastries and a gelato stand for dessert. It was really a family affair because their were incredible activities for kids including a ferris wheel, giant slide, painting classes, jewelry making and more! The raffle of luxury items is always a favorite with the adults and there were plenty of designer bags and luxury hotel stays this year!
It’s also fun to just grab a drink and watch the QVC broadcast being done live! But the best part of the event is that it raised 4.3 million dollars for Ovarian Cancer Research, a cause particularly near and dear to the Baldwin family.
I strongly suggest that you circle the late Saturday of July on your calendar every year and put it aside for Super Saturday. Not only will your be contributing to a great cause but it’s about the most fun that a shopaholic and a foodie could ever have!
