Welcoming Champion’s Second NYC Store In Soho!

If you love Champion’s legendary athletic wear, then you had better head down to their new store at 434 Broadway in Soho this coming Saturday, August 25th at 10 AM–that is because the first 500 people in the store will be getting a beautiful limited edition tote bag with exclusive art by Bronx artist Andre Trenier. His very “painterly” version of the famous Champion logo is very “painterly” and we caught him in action painting a big one on canvas at the store’s grand opening party for influencers back on Tuesday night! Andre is actually on a Champion T-shirt that you can only purchase in the New York Champion stores–and guess what, he’s painting the Champion logo on it!

The opening party was so fun–guests included up and coming rap artists and Miss New York 2018 (from the Miss America franchise) Nia Franklin. There were speciality drinks with names inspired by the store merchandise and gifts galore. The parting gifts included camo duffel bags and backpacks and well as logo sweatshirts. Their was a live deejay and some people even started dancing to the latest rap and pop hits that were being spun.

The store itself is in an old factory space and while it has been used for retail for a long time, all of the original factory characteristics are still there including extra high ceilings and exposed ceiling pipes. The clean, industrial feel is perfect for a great shopping space in a trendy neighborhood like Soho. The merchandise is very well organized with styles out of specialty fabrics clearly marked with signs in special sections.

For more info on this go-to company for “athleisure wear” and to catch their late summer sales, go to www.champion.com. It’s probably not a secret but Champion makes a killer t-back sports bras and they also have some of the most durable and timeless bomber jackets out there with a giant athletic style “letter C” on the top right. While it’s fun to check out the site, the new retail store at 434 Broadway really has a party vibe that you must check out!

And before you ask–yes, Miss New York was sporting some Champion gear and looking casual but very put together! And she was happy to mix and mingle with the crown of us “mere mortals.”
