Schwarzkopf Does It Again–This Time With A Fab US Launch Of Their Gliss Line

Gliss has long been a famous brand of Schwarzkopf’s in Europe–since 1959 as a matter of fact–but now it is being launched in the US and I was lucky enough to be at the celebratory event at Lightbox on West 38th Street in midtown. A lot of “hair education” happened! “Hair scientists” as I like to call them analyzed guests’ hair for strength and level of damage in the back of the space after Jenny McCarthy gave a moving self-empowerment speech which openly discussed her previous marriage where she suffered a lot of emotional abuse. Her hubby Donnie Wahlberg was in tow but he stayed upstairs in the balcony and kept a low profile. Through the beauty blogger grapevine, I know that a few reporters approached him upstairs, he was cordial and answered their questions politely.

Many of the new Gliss products were scattered about the room on tables and on the bar, along with beautiful white rose and exotic flower arrangements. The CMM PR staff was nice enough to let guests send Gliss care packages to friends directly from the event, and in the gift bag for each guest were all the products from all four of the Gliss lines: ULTRA MOISTURE, HAIR REPAIR, EXTRA VOLUME and COLOR GUARD. Each line has shampoo, conditioner, styling cream and serum. You will love the 3D labels that almost seem to light up in the dark.
